Chimpz Like Seyi Shay written by Mav Doosh

I have read enough commentary on Tiwa vs Seyi. Those stanning either of the 2, those criticising the swearing etc. Very interesting. Mine is motivated by the character of Seyi. Sheyi is one of those women I tag "weak women". Sneaky, gaslighting, seeking validation, no loyalty, hypocrisy and 2 faced. 

We saw Sheyi as Tiwas friend. Loving up. Sisterhooding. All smiles. But Sheyi felt she was better than Tiwa -A typical quality of weak women. These type of women cannot be happy of whatever progress they have made in life if it cannot be compared to another woman's. Their validation does not lie in their feats but in the struggles of another sister. And so, Sheyi couldn't stand Tiwa sharing a very big stage with too few females on it. She saw Tiwa not as a sister but a competitor. That was the reason for the shady denial on air.

Anothet trait you find in weak women is that they use morality as a pedestal to judge other women. The only reason for calling a sister a prostitute is because you are despicable. You are looking for male gaze. You are afraid of women with agency to make choices about their bodies. You can't be all they are. So you join the league of angry lucien sons and call her a prostitute. Oloshe. Forgetting that in the Patriarchy kingdom, you are seen as same. But you are too weak to see that. You are trying so hard to dissociate yourself.

And then comes the narcissistic behaviour: After showing publicly that you hate someone, you come again to use public sympathy on their head. That "you are being petty" statement is typical reaction of narcissists when you call out their bullshit. They want to downplay your anger and make you out to be unreasonable and incapacable of decent behavior.

We have lot of Seyis in this world. You will be thriving on your own. Investing in your skin. They will be digging around your feet. Hoping you fall into a pit.

Try to match their energy and suddenly they turn to meek and humble women who don't look for trouble. They will accuse you of not being the bigger person.

I am so happy that lots of people didn't buy that Seyi fake greeting and matured behaviour.

Recently, I visited home and a guy came to tell me how he heard a rumour about me and went to "my friend" to confirm. I asked which friend. He called her. I asked him" why didn't you ask Abeda Magdalene Msen ". He laughed and responded " That one will just finish me and still come back to tell you". In other words , you were looking for the friend that will happily gossip me abi. I retorted. He laughed.

That incidence proved to me what I know about that particular friend. She will never defend you in your absence. Infact if you want to know any dark secrets of her friends , go and ask her. First, she will act like you are not close, then start spewing rubbish.

I don't consider people with zero loyalty as friends. If you can't chest being my friend, I will be happy to allow you stand one corner. By the time you follow insult join ontop. Lol. I am sorry for those who will start preaching bigger person.

It is 2021. The year of Twitter ban and naira devaluation. Don't stress me with double standards.

PS: I am not a fan of Tiwa Savage. I no too like her character. But I love her music sha. And beauty. She too fine. So this post is not about picking sides in the quarrel.
